Where Love Is All That Matters

Love is all there is...it's all that matters..in certain aspect/s of life. The following is where love is all there is.

1- God's Initiative of Salvation

When God looked at the fallen man, he saw nothing but punishment that he deserved for violating His laws. There's nothing he got to deserve any mercy. Nothing...other than anything outside of himself...from Someone not of his kind-his very own Creator. And that thing is LOVE.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Why does He had to love the offender of His laws? Nobody knows. He just loved us and gave the favor of reaching mankind to spare them from punishment. We call it GRACE, an unmerited favor from above. To the one who sees his hopelessness and wretchedness that he's going to die because of his sins would exclaim,

"Amazing love, how can it be? That Thou my God shouldst die for me!"

Without the LOVE of God, hardly would there be grace that saves mankind.

2- Loving the Unlovable

"Love your enemies!" is the command of Jesus Christ to His disciples. How can that be to anyone who had hated somebody for displeasing him/her? It's just impossible to do that unless he/she understood the dynamics of loving a neighbor including enemies!

"If ye love me keep my commandments"...

You see. It's not impossible to love the unlovable when we love the One Who commands it.

3- Loving No Other

While we are commanded to love everyone. It was commanded from above that we be faithful to no one other than our God and spouses. Sometimes, there are misunderstandings taking place in a relationship, but because of the COVENANT or agreement for mutual faithfulness until the end, the relationship endures.

We call this exclusive love, that which can not be shared to another. God said pertaining to this love.."I am a jealous God" because He does not want to share the love of His people to any other god. For there is no such being other than Himself. Likewise, the relationship of husband and wife that takes its pattern from the relationship of God and His people shall never be altered. Each one has a reason for jealousy if the other manifests unfaithfulness or entertains to "love" anyone else!

This kind of love is one that is decisive, committed and rational. Without this kind of love, relationships would crumble.
